Keep Your Airspeed Up

THIS BOOK IS CURRENTLY FOR SALE

As famous as the Tuskegee Airmen are today, these pioneering aviators endured decades of unjust racial prejudice and mistreatment, even as war heroes returning home. These men, through their superlative service during World War II, paved the way for the desegregation of the military and for the Civil Rights movement of the 1960s.

Dr. Brown’s time in the education system and other life experiences serve as an example of how one can persevere in a world not friendly or accommodating to their dreams.

Dr. Brown is 92 years young and currently resides in Port Clinton, Ohio.

Established in 2014 the Urban Farm and Garden Alliance (UFGA) brought together 6 unique community garden plots in the Aurora/St. Anthony and Frogtown Neighborhoods. The Alliance of the six gardens and backyard box gardeners serves to share ideas, resources and co-host educational workshops and summer activities and events through partnerships with other organizations and institutions including Bethel University, Gardening Matters, and AfroEco.

These partnerships and relationships have been important for creating access to parks and healthy nutritious foods for residents in neighborhoods that have suffered the consequences of predatory loans, high levels of unemployment, and a complicated history of Highway 94 severing the historic Rondo neighborhood of St. Paul, Minnesota.

Twin Cities Radio Network - Serving Vibrant Twin Cities Communities.

The mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination.

Founded in 1913, the Saint Paul branch serves all individuals who may experience discrimination based on race, gender, religion, age, disability or culture.

We welcome members of all races who would like to help make our city and state a more tolerant, equitable, and just community for all.
